You can enjoy good food everywhere in this region. Here are some of our most fav addresses, enjoy!

    La Preja Nizza Monferrato

    La Preja, Nizza Monferrato

    Veneto meets Piedmont

If you are a chef from the Veneto, and you have a passion for the Piedmont plus a creative mind, the most beautiful combinations are created. Since September 2023, La Preja has been open in Nizza Monferrato, and it is a real asset! Very distinguished and original, if you want something different from classic Piedmontese cuisine.

    La Preja, Via Carlo Alberto 41, Nizza Monferrato, +39 379 191 9114.

    Paola gewelfd plafond

    Tre Colline, Bubbio

    Do as the Italians do

Dining at Paola's, the chef of Tre Colline in Bubbio, is always a treat. Whether you sit outside in its cozy and partly covered garden, with a view of the wine hills, or inside under the classic vaulted ceiling. Her Sunday pranzos (lunch) are popular, and every month she has a special evening around a specific local theme. So keep a close eye on this lady via Facebook! Paola also comes to cook on request in Poggio Maria on weekdays. Always a success, according to our guests.

    Tre Colline, Reg. Pantalini, Bubbio, +39 333 340 3963.

    Nonna Gina buiten

    Da Nonna Gina, Acqui Terme

    Informal, cozy, 'feeling at home'

When you eat at Nonna Gina in Acqui Terme (Nonna is Grandma in Italian), you will immediately feel at home. The menu is traditional Piedmontese, and cooking is done according to the season. In autumn and winter this means many dishes with funghi porcini (fresh or dried mushrooms), for example. The waiters are very pleasant and they like to make time for a chat. You can sit comfortably both inside and outside. A regular for when we are in Acqui Terme!

Da Nonna Gina, Via Bella 14, Acqui Terme, +39 0144441384.

    Angelo Davino, Acqui Terme

    Piedmontese with a 'twist'

The decoration alone at this restaurant in Acqui Terme is a feast for the eyes. Owner Donatella pulls out all the stops to create a good atmosphere. This restaurant also serves some vegetarian dishes. The predominantly traditional Piedmontese/Italian dishes are often prepared slightly differently, for example the Tiramisu is very original. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside on the terrace, with a view of the Bollente on the one hand or the alley on the other (see photo below). A dream!

Angelo Davino, Via Alla Bollente 44, Acqui Terme, +39 373 7904222.

    Il Giardinetto, Sessame

    A bit more fancy

If you want 'something fancy', go to Il Giardinetto in Sessame. This restaurant has been run for years by sisters Fransceca in the service and Valentina in the kitchen. Here you will really be pampered. Cuisine is traditional Piedmontese, delicious antipasti, fresh made pasta. A household name in the region for years.

Il Giardinetto, Strada Provinciale Valle Bormida 24, Sessame, +39 0144 392001.

Slow food bij Il Consortio in Turijn

    Il Consorzio, Turijn

Slow food in its purest form

To be fair, we did not discover Il Consorzio in Turin ourselves, but picked it up as a slow food 'must visit' from the Volkskrant (Dutch newspaper). And the rave reviewer didn't say too much: if you want to discover slow food, do it here and try the ravioli with Tumin del Mel cheese or the meat-filled agnolotti pasta. Distinguished wine list, also found by Michelin, which gave Consorzio a Bib Gourmand.

    Il Consorzio, via Monte di Pieta 23, Turin, +39 011 276 7661.
